GLC 300, coupe, 350e, 43 AMG: what changes on a lease

The GLC 350e is the plug-in hybrid; it can carry an electric incentive some months and is quoted per car.

• A demo GLC 300, when the table shows one, is a new car with dealer miles. The factory warranty usually runs from the date the car was first put in service; ask for that date and the odometer reading.

• Both are stocked in Los Angeles; say which you want.

• Packages (Premium, Exclusive, Pinnacle, AMG Line, Night) move the MSRP and therefore the payment; the residual is a percentage of MSRP, so a package adds less than its sticker price spread over the term.

Who the GLC fits

The GLC seats five and has no third row. Cargo is 21.9 cubic feet behind the second row and 56.3 with it folded, a stroller and groceries with the seats up or weekend luggage with them down, and rear legroom is 37.4 inches, so two adults fit in back for a dinner run. The size is the point in Los Angeles. It fits compact stalls and the older apartment garages that a GLE fills. The engine is a 2.0-liter turbo four with a 48-volt starter-generator that adds up to 23 hp and 148 lb-ft for a moment as you pull away. That makes it a mild hybrid: it does not plug in and does not drive on electricity alone. The GLC 350e is the plug-in.

GLC 300 or GLC 300 4MATIC

Same engine, 255 hp and 295 lb-ft. mbusa.com lists 5.9 seconds to 60 for the rear-wheel-drive car and 6.0 for the 4MATIC. The 4MATIC adds all-wheel drive and a little to the MSRP in the table. For most Los Angeles driving the rear-wheel-drive GLC 300 is enough. Take the 4MATIC for winter trips to Big Bear or Mammoth, a steep driveway, or because you want the grip on wet mornings. Lease or finance a Mercedes GLC

A GLC lease payment is built from four figures, and each is a line on the written quote. The gross capitalized cost is the negotiated price plus any fee rolled into the lease, less the capitalized cost reduction you pay at signing. The residual value is the lender's estimate of what the car is worth at lease end, set as a percentage of MSRP for the term and mileage. The money factor is the lease's interest rate. Tax applies to each payment in California. At lease end the lessee returns the car and pays the disposition fee and any excess-mileage or excess-wear charge in the contract, or buys it for the purchase-option price written into the contract on day one. Financing spreads the whole price over the loan; a lease spreads only the depreciation for the term, which is why the monthly payment on the same GLC is lower on a lease. Lease if you change cars every two or three years and drive under the allowance. Finance or buy if you keep cars for six years or more.

Is the GLC being discontinued?

No. The 2026 GLC 300 is in dealers now and being leased this month. The question comes up because Mercedes-Benz has announced an all-electric GLC to sit alongside the gas and plug-in versions, and because coupe body styles get renewed on a different cycle. Nothing about a lease written today changes: the contract is for the car you take delivery of, for the term you sign.

Three checks before you sign a GLC lease

Sit with the screen. The GLC runs most functions, climate included, through the center touchscreen. Pair your phone and change the temperature in the showroom before you commit to the car for the whole term.

Check the VIN. Look up the VIN at nhtsa.gov for open recalls before delivery. A recall repair is free, but it should be done before you take the car, not after.

Budget premium unleaded. The GLC 300 specifies premium gasoline, and at Los Angeles prices that is part of the monthly cost of the car alongside the payment and insurance.
